Caring for Your Aglaonema Manila Beauty

Caring for your Aglaonema Manila Beauty is a breeze. Here are key care tips:

1. Light:

Aglaonema ‘Manila Beauty’ thrives in moderate to low light conditions. It can tolerate lower light levels than many other houseplants. Place it in bright, indirect sunlight or filtered light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.

2. Temperature:

Maintain a room temperature between 65-80°F (18-27°C). This plant prefers warmer conditions and is sensitive to cold drafts and temperature fluctuations.

3. Watering:

Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top 1-2 inches (2.5-5 cm) of the soil to dry out before watering. Water thoroughly, ensuring that excess water drains from the pot. Empty the saucer beneath the pot to prevent overwatering.

4. Humidity:

Aglaonema ‘Manila Beauty’ appreciates higher humidity levels. If you live in a dry climate or during the winter when indoor air tends to be drier, increase humidity around the plant. You can use a humidity tray, a room humidifier, or mist the plant regularly to maintain humidity.

5. Potting Soil:

Use a well-draining, high-quality potting mix designed for houseplants. A mix with good aeration and water-retaining properties is suitable.

6. Pot Size and Repotting:

Repot your Aglaonema ‘Manila Beauty’ when it becomes root-bound or outgrows its current pot, typically every 2-3 years. Choose a slightly larger pot and transplant during the spring.

7. Fertilization:

Feed your Aglaonema ‘Manila Beauty’ with a balanced, liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Dilute the fertilizer to half-strength to avoid over-fertilization.

8. Pruning:

Prune your Aglaonema as needed to remove yellowing or dead leaves and to maintain its shape. Regular pruning can encourage bushier growth.

9. Pest Control:

– Aglaonema ‘Manila Beauty’ is generally pest-resistant, but keep an eye out for common indoor pests like spider mites or mealybugs. – If pests are present, treat them with insecticidal soap or neem oil.

10. Propagation:

– You can propagate Aglaonema ‘Manila Beauty’ by stem cuttings. Take a 4-6 inch (10-15 cm) stem cutting with at least one leaf node and plant it in a well-draining mix.

FAQs

How do I place a bulk/coporate order?
For all the bulk/corporate orders, please contact hello@airifier.com
Why not use a fancy rigid box instead of a corrugated one when shipping this product?
To begin with, our corrugated box is of excellent quality and has numerous artworks on it. Therefore, it doesn't appear any less elegant. Our goal is packaging that is as environmentally friendly as it can be. We do not like to utilise rigid boxes because they require more paper and a lot of chemicals to manufacture. There is always a more environmentally friendly choice available: corrugated.
