Snake Plant Zeylanica Care Tips: Some Basics to Know

The Snake Plant is super low maintenance. But even the lowest maintenance plants require some of their very basic needs to be met in order to thrive. So, here are a few care tips that will allow your Snake Plant Zeylanica to thrive in your space:

1. Light Requirements

As we mentioned before, the Sansevieria zeylanica is 100% fuss-free when it comes to its care requirements. So, whether you place this plant in direct sunlight, indirect light, or low light, it will thrive! This allows it to live up to its full potential in any and every corner of your home!

2. Watering Needs

As a semi-succulent, the Snake plant hates wet feet and is relatively more susceptible to overwatering and root rot. So, when watering this plant, you must always remember that striking the right balance is key. However, if anything, you must ebb on the side of underwatering the Snake plant Zeylanica. Water this plant only once in 2 weeks and watch it thrive in your home!

3. Soil Preferences

The Snake Plant needs a well-drained and aerated potting mix that will allow its roots more growing and breathing space. So, you can use Ugaoo’s Cactus and Succulent Potting Mix. This soil mix has the perfect amount of essential ingredients such as Perlite and other organic matter that will give your plant both space and nourishment.

4. Fertilization

Feed your Sansevieria zeylanica plant with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half strength during the growing season (spring and summer). Avoid fertilizing in the winter months when the plant is dormant because it really isn’t needed! If you want to avoid the hassle of a liquid fertilizer, you can use Ugaoo’s Plant Food Fertilizer Sticks. Just take one stick and push into your potted plant’s soil away from the stem. This will keep your plant fertilized for 60 days!

FAQs

How do I place a bulk/coporate order?
For all the bulk/corporate orders, please contact hello@airifier.com
Why not use a fancy rigid box instead of a corrugated one when shipping this product?
To begin with, our corrugated box is of excellent quality and has numerous artworks on it. Therefore, it doesn't appear any less elegant. Our goal is packaging that is as environmentally friendly as it can be. We do not like to utilise rigid boxes because they require more paper and a lot of chemicals to manufacture. There is always a more environmentally friendly choice available: corrugated.
What is Airifier?
Airifier is an online air-purifying plants shop. India-wide services for delivering Airifier plants are offered.
Can Dieffenbachia Cheetah grow without sunlight?
No, the Dieffenbachia Cheetah plant cannot grow without sunlight. While the plant can tolerate partial shade, it needs enough exposure to the sun to grow well. Bright, indirect sunlight is ideal for its growth. Too much of direct sunlight can scorch the leaves and too little sunlight can result in faded variegations.
Is Dieffenbachia Cheetah Plant an air purifier?
Yes, the Dieffenbachia Cheetah is an excellent air purifier. Its large leaves filter out harmful indoor air pollutants and toxins such as formaldehyde, benzene, and fine dust particles. This ensures cleaner, greener, and healthier indoor spaces for you and your loved ones.
Should I remove brown leaves from Dieffenbachia Cheetah?
Yes, remember to always prune away the browning, yellowing, or dead leaves from your Dieffenbachia Cheetah plant. This will allow newer and healthier leaves to grow in, giving you a fuller & greener plant.
How do I save my dying Dieffenbachia?
Some of the main reasons for dying Dieffenbachia plants are improper watering and lighting. So, place your Dieffenbachia Cheetah in bright, indirect light and water it only twice a week, or when the top inch of its soil dries out. To avoid improper watering, you can use Ugaoo's Sustee - a device that will tell you exactly when your plant needs water!
How to make Dieffenbachia Cheetah bushy?
To make your Dieffenbachia Cheetah plant bushier, prune it regularly. Always prune away any yellow or brown leaves and use clean, sterilized pruning tools to ensure clean cuts that will not infect the plant.
